Terms

Brief helps you organize a situation into a one-page Brief. It is not a law firm. It does not give legal advice. Using Brief does not create an attorney-client relationship with Brief, and what you tell Brief is not protected by attorney-client privilege.

Brief is available for situations in California. Other places are not turned on. Brief does not rank lawyers. It sends your story only if you choose to, and only to lawyers who said they are taking new clients. That is not a State Bar referral.

Brief is free during launch, for people writing a Brief and for lawyers. There is no subscription, no checkout, and no charge to send a Brief or a message. If that changes, we will tell you before anything costs money, and Briefs you already saved will stay yours.

Share only what you have a right to share. Do not use Brief to build a profile of a child. You can delete a saved Brief or your account at any time.

Brief organizes what you wrote. It does not promise an outcome, a deadline, or that a summary is complete. You are responsible for what you do with your Brief after you leave.

Usage limits

These limits keep Brief reliable and stop automated abuse. They are not paid tiers. When you reach one, Brief tells you which one and when you can continue.
